Summary

As a Marketing Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of channels, including Social Media, SEO, and PPC. You’ll be responsible for creating and managing engaging content, monitoring campaign performance, and contributing to wider marketing strategies. You'll be equipped with the tools, training, and all the support you need.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Liaise with clients to understand their products, services, and specific marketing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop and implement tailored digital marketing strategies.
  • Produce high-quality social media content, including graphics, short-form video, and written posts, tailored to each platform and campaign objective.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of digital campaigns, providing proactive insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Brief and coordinate website development projects, ensuring timely content uploads and updates via the Content Management System (CMS).
  • Conduct research to stay informed on clients’ industries, business cultures, competitors, and any emerging trends or changes.
  • Schedule, attend, and contribute to client meetings, documenting key decisions and action points.
  • Support the planning and execution of advertising initiatives, including SEO, PPC, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Track online engagement metrics to assess campaign success and suggest adjustments where needed.
  • Assist in project budgeting and support the creation and development of branding materials.

What you'll learn

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.

Your training plan

As a Multi-Channel Marketer apprentice, you will work under the guidance of your marketing team to support the planning, creation and evaluation of marketing campaigns across various digital channels and social media platforms.

Your role will primarily consist of creating online and offline marketing strategies, targeted campaigns, and written and visual content designed to support customers down the marketing funnel, increase brand authority, and drive revenue.

Your training will be delivered in 2-day blocks every 4-6 weeks; this will be online in our SMART Classroom with a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will receive a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer qualification.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 5)
