£9,422.40 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assist in setting up the counter for the day's trade, cooking meats, pies and pastries.
  • Serve customers and offer excellent customer service.
  • Make coffee, serve rotisserie chicken and other quality food and drink products.
  • Organise stock, stock rotation, and ensure cleanliness standards remain high.

  • Work as part of a team to ensure that the products and services are delivered on time and in line with business needs
  • Deal with or escalate issues that impact service and customer experience, and implement any instructions given by supervisor.
  • Use professional methods of communication that are tailored to different situations, and individual and team needs.
  • Manages own time and workload, prioritising tasks.
  • Maintain and rotate stock according to life cycle and business processes.
  • Ensure equipment and technology faults and maintenance issues are reported promptly.

Your training plan

  • The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Food and Beverage Team Member Level 2.
  • The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
  • This is a Day Release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln/Newark College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

The Meatery is an independent high-class butchers shop in Gainsborough. Located next to Clock House Gastrobar at 1 Lord Street, we have been proud to supply the Clock House since its establishment in 2021 from our internal butchery department.
