Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Safe operation of CNC milling machines & lathes
- Setting up of tooling, & managing tool wear in operation
- Setting up machines, CNC milling & lathes.
- Monitoring of machine once in operation
- Ability to read & edit CNC programmes
- Understanding & reading technical drawings & specifications
- Use of a wide range of technical measuring equipment used in the control of quality

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
