Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Key Responsibilities:
- Have a good level of understanding in general construction.
- Responsible for being the point of contact between workers.
- Coordinating tasks for the day including but not limited to creating schedules for workers.
- Activities on site are in line with health and safety procedures including conducting Toolbox talk.
- Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress.
Key Skills Required:
- Have exceptional written and spoken English.
- IT literate and can learn to use the latest cloud software products for health safety and construction management.
- Be highly self-motivated.
- Have exceptional attention to detail and a right first-time attitude.

- Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
- Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
- Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
- Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
- Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
- Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
- Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.
