Summary

Exec Spec Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Customer Service Apprentice to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in cars, car parts and the motor trade industry who wants to learn both the front and back end of the business.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who is hard-working, proactive, and eager to build a career in the automotive industry and to get involved on the shop floor, while also supporting some admin tasks using a bespoke motor trade system. As an Automotive Customer Service Apprentice at Exec Spec Ltd, you will gain experience across both the front and back end of the business, supporting day-to-day operations, customer service, and sales, while developing a solid foundation in customer service and administration.

What you’ll do at work:

  • Handling day-to-day administrative tasks to support the wider team
  • Making outbound calls to customers and suppliers with professionalism
  • Assisting with sales-related tasks and providing support to the Sales Team
  • Providing hands-on customer service, including face-to-face support where needed
  • Working with customers to meet their requirements and giving advice on additional parts and services
  • Learning and working with a bespoke motor trade system
  • Managing product and service information, understanding who we are and what we do
  • Using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and booking travel arrangements for engineers
  • Assisting with stock or product updates, both physically and digitally
  • Supporting social media activity and helping promote products/services online
  • Maintaining accurate records and files, both digitally and manually
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to support the smooth running of operations
  • Managing goods in and out
  • Working with suppliers, placing orders or returns and processing paperwork accurately
  • Working to a high level of customer service at all times and remaining courteous and police to customers
  • Helping ensure the smooth communication between the sales and admin teams

  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

Maths and English (grade A*-D/9 -3)
