Summary

We are looking for someone to join the engineering team in Leeds. You will work with site engineers to learn all aspects of maintenance, machine assembly, machinery repairs, and machinery installations.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • To ensure you understand and comply with all company policies and procedures in relation to health, safety and hygiene at work.
  • Comply with the BRCGS & any other quality related standards the business employs.
  • Complete machine changeovers.
  • Start and stop machines, performing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic repairs and maintenance.
  • Repair any equipment as required, within your remit, ensuring all work complies with statutory regulations.
  • Complete services and other machine interventions in a timely manner, in line with operating procedures.
  • Ensure quality of product conforms to all internal and external specifications.
  • Ensure designated area(s) are clean, tidy and safe.
  • Perform machine cleaning and hygiene clearance duties, as required.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting any issues to the duty Shift Manager or Engineering Management.
