Summary
TAs work with and care for children of all ages. They play an integral part in pupils’ well-being; ensuring pupils thrive in a positive environment. TAs will be offered a personalised pathway to develop in up to two specialist areas: Special Educational Needs and Disability , Early Years, Behaviour, English as an Additional Language and Assessment.

Work

- Supporting students to accomplish their daily goals in a variety of subjects
- Work with teachers to understand and support assessment
- Develop effective and informed practice

- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.

- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

- Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
- At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying

GCSE in:

After this apprenticeship
- It is up to you what you do when you have finished your apprenticeship. There may be an opportunity to stay on at the same company and progress to the next level of qualification, High Level Teaching Assistant. Alternatively, you may want to look for a new job or other professional development opportunity
- For the duration of the apprenticeship, the employer will provide a training contract but may lead to permanent contract if mutually acceptable
