Summary
Pevlings Farm Riding and Livery Stables are looking for a new equine apprentice groom to join their team, with around 30 horses, they are a busy riding school and DIY livery yard.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
The ideal candidate will have an interest in pursuing a career in coaching/ instructing riding and will have the opportunity to assist in rides and lessons.
General duties to include (but not be limited to):
- handling and caring for the horses
- mucking out
- sweeping and cleaning the yard
- preparing horses for lessons including tacking up and grooming
This a position for a ridden or non-ridden apprentice however, some experience with horses and yard work would be needed to be a successful applicant.

Your training plan
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

GCSE in:

Other requirements
No accommodation is available on site so you must be able to make your own way to and from the yard each day. Livery for your own horse is possible, depending on availability.
About this company
Established in 1985 our aim at this riding school has always been to provide a safe, friendly and informal stables where you can learn to ride and look after a horse/pony. We cater for all ages and a variety of abilities. Beginners are welcome and our lessons are aimed more at the leisure rider than the competition rider. We offer lessons in groups or individually on our carefully selected horses and ponies. Our instructors have a wealth of knowledge and experience to make your ride enjoyable.
After this apprenticeship
- Possibility of progression to Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 for the right candidate.
- Dependent on interests of individual - additional support for those wishing to pursue employment in a riding school environment.
