Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Duties will include:
- Providing essential day-to-day care
- Feeding
- Grooming
- Cleaning equipment
- Handling, preparing, exercising the horses
- Carrying out routine yard duties
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Work well as part of a team
- Have a love of horses whatever the weather
- Be a friendly person

Training schedule
- The successful candidate will undertake 15 months training to complete a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
- All training will be carried out at the employer's premises, with the support of the employer, and will be delivered by Haddon Training
- Functional Skills, maths and English will form part of the apprenticeship if the successful candidate doesn't already hold a level 4 or above for each subject

GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
