Summary

As an Engineering Operative apprentice, you will be working for Cormac Solutions Ltd and be fully immersed into the Aggregates and Recycling business area of Cormac. This forms an integral part of the wider Cormac group. On completion you will gain a level 2 apprenticeship qualification in Engineering Operative (Maintenance pathway).

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Undertaking a limited range of supervised routine manual tasks requiring general practical skills
  • Responsibility for utilising the appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Reporting safety incidents including near misses
  • General practical skills are developing in line with expectations for the role
  • Ensuring all driver / vehicle records are maintained
  • To drive / operate vehicles and plant
  • Performing other duties as from time to time may be reasonably required

GCSE in:

  • English (grade C or 4 and above)
  • Maths (grade C or 4 and above)
