Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Responsible to learn the process of presenting units to the test team that are fit for use and have zero defects
- Responsible for the health and safety of yourself and the people working around you
- Responsible for good timekeeping and prompt sickness reporting to the build supervisor
- Informing the build supervisor promptly of any issues that will have a negative impact on the job in hand or Microns business in general
- Expected to work positively and proactively and ensure any potential issues are not allowed to happen/are caught early and not allowed to develop
- Responsible to learn the safe use of tools/equipment to carry out duties and that they are maintained properly in accordance with workshop PMR and best industry practice
- Communicate effectively within the build team and keeping the foreman up to date on job progress
