Insight Investment (subsidiary of BNY Mellon) is a leading asset manager focused on designing investment solutions to meet its clients’ needs. Based within the Client Reporting team, you will have an emphasis on building out the team’s relationships with various Insight stakeholders including senior members of staff throughout the organisation.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
The Operations Department provides middle and back office operational services either within Insight or provided to Insight by external parties.
To succeed in this role, candidates must be willing to learn in a fast-paced environment and show an aptitude towards solution-focused outcomes, benefiting both the team itself and the wider business.
Duties include:
- Assist with accurate and timely production of the team’s regular monthly and quarterly Client Reporting requirements.
- Work with senior team members when engaging with stakeholders across the business, including but not limited to; Client Service teams, Fund Management teams, Development Technical Support teams other Operational section teams.
- Assist in resolving issues when required and build knowledge base of all reporting systems.
- With knowledge sharing from senior members, learn the different investment strategies Insight offer to clients and the different reporting outputs for each strategy.
- Have input to strategic projects and generate operational efficiency ideas within the team

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Service delivery: Capable of performing non- complex tasks to consistently high standards of client service, timeliness, accuracy and attention to detail. For example, ensures the timely preparation and accuracy of computerised cash position, valuation, and client reports; monitors and processes the timely allocation of investment income to client account; Ensures that client instructions relating to increasing or liquidating their investments are communicated and processed promptly. Manages own workload and adheres to agreed systems and processes. Meets required risk, regulatory and governance requirements.
- Communication: Demonstrates high quality written and verbal communication skills with both clients and colleagues. Builds and maintains good relationships with clients and counterparties. Handles everyday situations and issues that arise within the context of their job role. Ensures transactions arising from corporate actions are correctly communicated and allocated to client accounts.
- Team working & collaboration: Consistently supports colleagues and contributes towards making improvements and efficiencies. Aware of their role within the team, how their team fits within the business, and the impact of team decisions impacts on internal and external clients.
- Ownership & Initiative: Takes ownership for delivery in their area of responsibility. Finds ways to progress and resolve non-complex issues, adopting alternative approaches where appropriate. Escalates decisions and issues swiftly when necessary.
- Personal development: Participates proactively in planning and recording their development activities; responds positively to feedback from colleagues. Keeps up to date with changes in all areas of the role; shows commitment to the job and the industry.

Other requirements
You must have 5 GCSEs at grades 4 and above, including English. For Maths, we require a grade 7 or above. You must also have completed 3 A-levels or equivalent. The minimum grades should be BBC. Ideally, one of these subjects would be in Business Computer Science or Mathematics. Please make this clear on your application that you meet the criteria.
