Summary

As a Marketing Apprentice at FTC Safety Solutions Ltd, you will play a key role in supporting our marketing and brand communication efforts. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of channels and marketing functions.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Monitor analytics and report on performance to support campaign improvements
  • Respond to social media engagement and inquiries in a professional and timely manner

PR and Content Creation:

  • Draft press releases, blog posts, and PR articles to promote the brand and highlight achievements
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of newsletters and company announcements

Events and Exhibitions:

  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and coordination of trade shows, exhibitions, and company-hosted events
  • Prepare marketing materials and support logistics for in-person and virtual events

Agency Liaison:

  • Act as a point of contact with our external marketing and design agency
  • Coordinate briefs, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of creative assets

Market Research and Competitor Analysis:

  • Conduct online research into industry trends, competitors, and customer demographics
  • Support campaign planning with insight-based suggestions

Brand Consistency and Visual Assets:

  • Ensure all marketing content aligns with FTC Safety Solutions' brand guidelines
  • Organise and maintain a digital asset library of images, templates, and campaign collateral

Administrative and General Support:

  • Maintain content calendars, campaign timelines, and CRM marketing records
  • Support ad hoc tasks across the marketing team as required

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.

Your training plan

Multi-channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • All training will be delivered online by Wise Origin, offering flexible, expert led instruction with interactive sessions and digital resources
  • This ensures apprentices can develop their skills while balancing work commitments

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

Maths & English (grade 4-9)
