Renold Gears Ltd The team are looking for Apprentices to join its Engineering department to learn various roles: manual turner - turning work on manual machines, gear cutting - a process very specific to Renold Gears and assembly fitter - Would be part of a team that assemble gear boxes.

Total hours per week: 37.00.
Shifts include:
Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 4pm. Friday, 7.30am - 12.30pm.
Start and finish times would be RTAs for the first 4-6 months, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Duties include:
- Machinst - Working on manual machines, this is a very busy area of manufacturing and a skill the company needs for continuity and future growth
- Gear cutting - a process very specific to Renold Gears involving cutting the teeth of the worm & Helical wheels. Machines are specific to this industry and there is a lot of technical aspects to how the gears are produced. Machines are a mixture of manual and CNC
- Assembly Fitter - Would be part of a team that assembles gearboxes. These can range from standard gearboxes to bespoke units that are complex and unique builds
