Summary

Josh Haynes is a professional event rider based at Team Marsden with their yard situated on the amazing grounds of Somerford Park CW12. They are looking for a Level 2 apprentice to join their team of other apprentices and more experienced staff members, opportunities to travel to shows.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • Mucking out

The apprenticeship is a work-based position with all learning being onsite. Somerford Path is an incredible Equestrian Centre with enviable facilities.

Your training plan

  • You will be working towards the Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship, with the employer at the employers premises, and supported by Haddon Training
  • You will also be supported in completing Functional Skills at Level 1 and/ or 2 in maths and English if you have not yet achieved a 'Pass' grade

After this apprenticeship

For the right candidate, there is the possibility of progressing to a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship upon successful completion of Level 2, or possiblity of a permanent position.
