Summary

We are a construction training company. Who are looking for a person who is passionate in providing great customer service to our customers, answering telephones and email enquiries. Updating diaries, organising, and creating paperwork for the courses. Booking courses and sending confirmation to our customers and taking payments.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Taking payments for courses in person also via telephone and via payment links
  • Answering customer emails and phone calls regards them enquiring about our courses and the costs of these courses
  • Admin duties, such as filing, printing, scanning, and copying
  • Discussing courses and availability with the trainers
  • Updating the electronic diary, with course bookings
  • Updating the whiteboards with course booking dates
  • Creating paperwork for the courses ready for the candidates to include test papers and learning material

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

Your training plan

The apprenticeship will be at NTSS LTD, PE13 4DE where you will gain a Level 2 apprenticeship as a Customer Service Practitioner. There will be no college day release as all the training will be done at our premises.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

English and maths (grade A*- C/ Grade 4-9)

Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

Our location is not on a bus route so the candidate would need to be able to get to our premises (possibly be a driver or a reliable lift).
