What you'll do at work

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with an interest in IT and web development? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven IT & Web Development Apprentice to join our team!

In this dynamic role, you’ll get hands-on experience across a variety of areas, including coding with PHP & MySQL and day-to-day IT support (e.g. printer issues or hardware & software issues). You’ll be assisting with troubleshooting tech issues, updating and maintaining websites, and working on development projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves learning and wants to develop a diverse skill set in a supportive, real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Write and troubleshoot basic PHP & MySQL code
Triaging issues faced by customers
Provide IT support for day-to-day technical issues
Help maintain and improve internal systems and processes
Keep internal documentation up to date
Work closely with the team to support various digital projects

Your training plan

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Software Developer level 4 apprenticeship standard
You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT Apprenticeship team to increase your skills
Your training will include gaining a level 4 Software Development qualification

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

English (grade C/4 +)
Maths (grade C/4 +)
