We are looking for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant who will make an impact on the outcomes for our children. We are prepared to tailor the position to ensure we find the right candidate who will fit into our dedicated team.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Prime Objectives of the Post:
- To undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils
- Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area
Range of duties:
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes

- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English if required Weekly day release at Shipley College
Requirements
Desirable qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- Maths (grade 4)
- English (grade 4)

Please ensure you have: Researched the role, the location of the school and Shipley College. A DBS criminal record check and eligibility to work in the UK will be required. All applicants will be asked to submit a current CV and may require a Maths and English assessment to support your application.
