We are seeking four Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentices in partnership with Priory Apprenticeships. Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and resources.
  • Support pupils with learning activities, both individually and in groups.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Provide extra support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and outings.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as marking, record-keeping, and organising supplies.
  • Encourage and support pupil engagement, confidence, and progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt resources and activities to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils.
  • Observe and report pupil progress to teachers and senior staff.
  • To adhere to Health and Safety Regulations
  • To keep confidential any issues related to St George’s Academy which are deemed confidential

Your training plan

Priory Apprenticeships are leading provider of apprenticeships designed specifically for education. During your apprenticeship, you will work closely with our Occupational Expert to gains the skills, knowledge and behaviour you need to be a successful and qualified learning Support Assistant. The level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship is an 18 month programme (plus 3 point EPA) delivered through practical, on-the-job training, workshops and mentoring. Upon completion of the course you will have achieved the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
