Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Help with the measurements of quantities for materials and labour needed for our projects
- Assist with preparing bills of quantities
- Support in estimating costs for projects
- Help prepare and issue tender documents
- Assist in evaluating tender returns
- Learn how to manage contracts and monitor compliance
- Help maintain records of variations and claims
- Assist with preparing interim valuations for payment
- Help track project expenditure and assist in preparing cost reports
- Attend construction sites to monitor progress and check quantities
- Learn how to liaise and work with site management and contractors
- Keep project documentation organised and up to date

- Administration: Assist in the collection, collation and storage of relevant data and its analysis.
