Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

We are seeking an ambitious apprentice to join our team, gaining hands-on experience in:

  • Production line breakdown response
  • Machine installation
  • Planned preventative maintenance—both electrical and mechanical

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to become a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician through our Engineering Apprenticeship Programme. Ideal for those passionate about engineering and eager to build a career in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What you will be doing:

  • You will work within our production facility, gaining hands-on experience in:
  • Electrical and mechanical fault-finding and breakdown repairs on a wide range of production equipment
  • Planned maintenance routines to ensure machinery operates at peak performance and downtime is minimised
  • Installation and commissioning of new machinery and automation systems, including robotics, conveyors, and CNC machinery
  • Collaborating with experienced engineers on emergency repairs and continuous improvement projects
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of our automated production systems, including PLC programming, industrial robotics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Interpreting technical engineering drawings to support diagnostics and machine upgrades
  • Identifying hazards and applying safe working practices in line with Health and Safety regulations
