Summary

Based at our Head Office in Oldbury but the role will require frequent travel, driving licence is essential. You will learn how to clean and prepare machinery and equipment ready for cataloguing and presentation. A HIGHLY PHYSICAL ROLE, MOVING HEAVY GOODS ON A DAILY BASIS, STRENGTH AND GOOD PHYSICAL FITNESS ARE A FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENT.

Wage

£14,526.20 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

- Managing clients' items - preparing, packaging and sending of customer orders 
- Unloading deliveries and placing items in line with guidance 
- Moving Machinery and Equipment so Heavy Lifting will be required 
- Assisting with the preparation of online auction catalogues

  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.

Your training plan

This course will allow you to build a foundation of skills which are needed to be successful. You will work through a variety of modules to gain the experience and skills needed, including:

  • Pick goods in logistics operations
  • Wrap and pack goods in logistic operations
  • Process orders for customers
  • Assemble orders
  • Moving and/or handling goods
  • Check stock levels and stock records

On successful completion of the course, you will achieve the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
  • Functional Skills if required

About this company

As an independent Auctioneer, New England have been buying and selling used industrial and commercial machinery and equipment to UK & Worldwide businesses for over 50 years. Due to the recent growth New England are looking to appoint a dedicated and ambitious Apprentice that will learn all areas of the business but predominately focus on our Auction clearance and Site Work.

After this apprenticeship

The successful candidate will gain a great deal of exposure to several parts of the auction business and will quickly be expected to take on responsibility.
