We are looking to recruit two reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Surface & Coatings Technician. This hands-on role is ideal for someone looking to start a practical career in industrial surface preparation and protective coatings.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- As an apprentice, you'll receive on-the-job training in abrasive blasting, coating application, equipment handling, and site safety procedures.
- You'll work alongside experienced professionals and develop skills needed for long-term success in the trade.
- Assist with surface preparation.
- Learn coating application techniques using spray, brush, and roller methods.
- Help set up and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow health and safety procedures including use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
- Participate in training sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework.
- Work as part of a team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform general site cleanup and maintenance tasks.

The apprenticeship will be delivered as a mixture of 1 day per month attending college along with workplace assessments and EPA preparation.

Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade Level 2/E & above)
- Maths (grade Level 2/E & above)

After this apprenticeship
- On successful completion of the apprenticeship further training/qualifications may be available such as TTP/ICATS and ICORR Level 1 for the right candidate. FLT training will also be available/required.
