Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
The role of a financial adviser is very varied and will require some travel.
You will learn to advise clients on a wide range of financial products. Areas such as:
- Pension switching
- Regular contributions to pensions
- Other tax efficient investment solutions
A large percentage of our clients are self-employed business owners so you will also need to learn and advise on business protection insurance.
Throughout the training, you will shadow both of the company directors to learn about mortgages and protection. You will learn:
- The back office administrative tasks
- Compliance areas
- Advice areas
You will need to speak to clients to gather the required information. Fact finding with clients takes place on both phone and video calls and occasionally face to face.
You will learn the financial planning side of things such as pensions and investments by supporting and learning from our financial adviser. Our financial advice part of our business offers a fresh, clear non jargon method of advice with a more modern approach to the traditional financial advice structure.
We are looking for the candidate to embrace our new way of doing things and bring their own enthusiasm and ideas to help grow this side of our business.
