Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
As part of the Tayto Futures programme, they are looking for 2 fantastic new Engineering Apprentices at Corby. This is an important step in the development of vital engineering capability. Your apprenticeship will start early September 2025.
This apprenticeship will allow you to achieve a recognised fully-funded qualification in Mechatronics, a multi-skilled programme combining both mechanical and electrical trades.
So what will you learn during your apprenticeship?
How to use engineering knowledge and understanding to apply technical and practical skills.
You will help design, develop, manufacture, build, commission, operate or maintain equipment across a variety of processes, systems and services.
You will develop effective communication and interpersonal skills and learn about industry regulations.
And learn how to adapt to different situations, environments and technologies.
You will start Tresham College in Corby in September 2025. Attending every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the first year. You will then attend once a week in years two and three, with no college attendance in your final fourth year.

Other requirements
Only Candidates who have fully completed the application will be considered. Please be aware that the closing date is subject to change without prior notice. Candidates must carry out an initial interview with a member of the Tresham College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team. College attendance will be at the Corby campus starting in September 2025. Year one will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at College. Years two and three will be Wednesday at College. The employers assessment day for this apprenticeship will be on 27th June 2025.
