Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
As an apprentice, you will receive guidance from Tiger Trailers' mentors to support your development in assembly, body build, paint, PDI, and stores. This role is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of trailer manufacturing and help you build the skills necessary to excel in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to health and safety (H&S) regulations and processes to maintain safe working practices throughout the factory.
- Assist in all stages of the build process across various departments within the factory.
- Learn to safely operate and maintain power/air tools.
- Use power/air tools to assist with assembly tasks such as cutting, drilling, screwing, and fixing.
- Follow instructions and work efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
- Learn welding techniques and safety procedures under supervision.
- Support manual handling of build components to assist with production.
- Assist in preparing metal parts by cleaning, measuring, and aligning two or more components.
- Perform quality checks on assembled components to ensure standards are met.
- Participate in hands-on training, as well as any classroom or workshop activities.
- Work closely with mentors and the leadership team to develop not only task-specific skills but also professional conduct in the workplace.
- Maintain a positive attitude, comply with all rules and regulations, and show a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
