Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Care Supervisor Apprentice to work alongside our Field Care Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality care services in the field. This role requires someone who can support care staff, monitor service delivery, and ensure client satisfaction.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • Conduct regular spot checks and field visits to monitor and support care staff performance
  • Address concerns from service users or staff promptly and professionally during service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, CQC standards, and other regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of care delivery, incidents, and feedback, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct staff inductions, supervisions, appraisals, and identify training needs for development
  • Support recruitment processes, including interviews and onboarding of new staff
  • Assist in developing and reviewing care plans to meet service users' changing needs
  • Collaborate with coordinators to ensure adequate staff coverage and effective rota management
  • Build strong relationships with service users, families, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction
  • Provide timely updates and feedback to management on field operations and care delivery

  • Support individuals they are working with according to their personal care/support plan
  • Take the initiative when working outside normal duties and responsibilities
  • Recognise and access help when not confident or skilled in any aspect of the role that they are undertaking
  • Implement/facilitate the specialist assessment of social, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals with cognitive, sensory and physical impairments
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing review of care/support plans for the individuals they support
  • Provide individuals with information to enable them to exercise choice on how they are supported
  • Encourage individuals to actively participate in the way their care and support is delivered
  • Ensure that individuals know what they are agreeing to regarding the way in which they are supported
  • Lead and support colleagues to understand how to establish informed consent when providing care and support
  • Guide, mentor and contribute to the development of colleagues in the execution of their duties and responsibilities
  • Demonstrate dignity in their working role with individuals they support, their families, carers and other professionals

Your training plan

  • The apprentice will be working towards the Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard including the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
  • Apprentices will receive 1-to-1 tutor support from an assessor with tuition arranged on an individual basis
