    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

UK Oak Doors are currently seeking an individual eager to start a career as a Front End Web Developer Apprentice.

As an apprentice you will be guided in your learning by a senior member of the development team helping you develop your skills and industry knowledge. This apprenticeship will suit those with good administrative and organizational skills, recent school/college leavers or young individuals looking for a change of employment. Due to the nature of the apprenticeship, full training and support will be provided over the 12 month course with the possibility to move on afterwards to a full time position within the company.

Required Skills
  • An excellent knowledge of CSS, with HTML skills and PHP is essential.
  • Experience of Photoshop and ideally Illustrator skills
  • Creative web design including elements of graphic design
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
