    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Estio Training has a rare opportunity to gain experience in a TV broadcasting company in an important role helping to coordinate digital marketing and business development for the UK’s largest operator of local TV services and assist daily broadcasts.

That’s TV broadcasts local news and general entertainment 24-hours per day on Freeview channel 7 (the slot previously occupied by BBC Three) in four major UK conurbations including Manchester, the largest city in the UK after London. That's TV will be launching local TV services in a further 5 locations over the coming year.

That’s TV has a content partnership with the BBC and former That’s TV staff have gone on to work with all major broadcasters.

Duties and Responsibilities 
advise clients and team members on social media and digital marketing campaigns; 

  • Communicate to team on project development, timelines and results;
  • Design, create and manage digital marketing campaigns, maintain websites, update and engage with social media and applications and analyse traffic;
  • Generate audio, images and videos for client campaigns;
  • Write editorial content, press releases, blog posts, tweets, stories and newsletters;
  • Deal with enquiries professionally and promptly;
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information;
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing company standards;
  • Provide analytical support for customer acquisition, conversion and retention;
  • Support search engine optimisation strategies;
  • Identify prospective new client leads and maintaining client lead databases;
  • Act as a resource for team members and clients;
  • Maintain client databases and providing scheduling and other administrative support;
  • Schedule programming and commercial messages (including ‘split screens’);
  • Provide support as required to the sales and broadcast production teams, handling enquiries and liaising with partners and suppliers;

Qualifications required

5 GCSE’s at grades A*- C or equivalent (including English Language and Maths

Training provider

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.
