A professional approach to this industry is paramount as interaction with the general public is on-going. The suitable candidate must show passion for the industry.

The job role will include:

  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Making and serving drinks
  • Reception duties
  • Cleaning duties
  • The Stylist will expect you to work closely alongside her
  • Observing assisting with colouring shampooing and blow-drying.
Training will be given on a weekly basis in the work place; this may follow the college programme. Monthly or weekly meetings/appraisals may be given.

The employer would prefer some basic skills in shampooing and blow-drying however self-motivation and a willingness to learn are essential.

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.30 per hour (From October 1st 2016 this will be increasing by 3% to £3.40 per hour). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
