The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Have a welcoming attitude to all clients
  • Shampoo and help maintain salon cleanliness
  • Observing and assisting stylists.

The successful candidate will be friendly, reliable, hardworking, a team player and dedicated to the industry.

Personal qualities

The successful candidate will be courteous and polite.

Qualifications required

GCSE Maths and English are preferred but not essential.

Future prospects

The successful candidate will work towards an NVQ L2 in Hairdressing with opportunities to progress on to Level 3 and becoming a stylist within the salon.

Things to consider

You will be active all day.

The successful applicant will work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing as well as Functional Skills Maths and English if required. The applicant has the opportunity to go on to Advanced Hairdressing.

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
