Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
The successful candidate will be required to assist stylists, meet and greet clients, shampoo/condition hair, keep salon tidy, make teas and coffees for clients.
Attend training sessions within the salon and at college to learn basic skills in hairdressing.
Requirements and prospects
- Good communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Good timekeeping skills
- Good team player
- GCSE A-C Grade in English and Maths or equivalent
Complete apprenticeship at NVQ Level 2 and progress to junior stylist within salon.
Possible opportunity to further own skills by completing Barbering NVQ level 2 and/or Hairdressing NVQ Level 3.
Things to consider
Vacancy for candidate requires physical work.
Training sessions in salon on models.
Day release to college for training at Central Training Group and Joshua Galvin.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.30 per hour from the 1st October 2015. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training
