On entry, the perfect candidate would have excellent IT skills and some understanding of the concept of web-delivered applications. As this is an apprenticeship, training and support will be given as part of the program to develop these skills.

We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic and passionate about designing and building websites and should have some previous experience in designing websites and also on e-commerce websites. The role will involve designing, maintaining and modifying the websites on a daily basis.
We are a small business and extremely hard working and we would expect the successful candidate to be likewise too. The Successful candidate should be able to think outside the box and have the ability to arrive at solutions using trial and error.

The intention is for the candidate to stay on after the placement with a pay rise and and we will offer long term security and the opportunity to progress.

Training provider

The IT Apprenticeship programme gives people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive eleven weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

Training will lead to industry-recognised qualifications including:

  • Advanced apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals
  • Level 3 Diploma in Professional
  • Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
  • Functional skills, Maths L2, English L2 and ICT L2
  • PLTS and ERR
  • CompTIA A+

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.30 per hour from the 1st October 2015. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
