Things to consider

This is a physically demanding role, and you will be expected to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Shifts to include:

  • Tuesday - Saturday 1000-1500 and 1800 to 2200
  • Sundays 1000-1800
  • 2 days off per week

About the employer

Owners Sandra & Danny Jimminson were trained at the Savoy Hotel in London and after gaining further experience working in Switzerland, France and other high profile London restaurants, decided to settle close to where Danny grew up on the border of Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire.

Awarded Best Gastropub in the East Midlands by the Metro national newspaper, Best Hospitality.

Now celebrating our 10th anniversary at the Hammer & Pincers, we have just completed an extensive refurbishment program, with new décor, new furniture and a change in direction with our menu.

We pride ourselves in sourcing some of the finest local ingredients from Loughborough and the surrounding areas. Everything is made in house from ice creams and sorbets to the butter we serve with our daily baked bread selection.

Other information

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
