We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Apprentice to join our team. This full-time position includes both practical experience and academic learning. The successful candidate will work towards achieving their AAT Level 2 qualification, with opportunities to advance to Levels 3 and 4, whilst providing essential support to the accounts team.

What you will do in your working day

·       Posting Receipts: Accurately posting receipts received into the client account.

·       Payments Management: Posting and reconciling payments from the client and office accounts.

·       Billing: Posting bills and managing write-offs, including bills, time, and disbursements.

·       Ledger Management: Posting disbursements to the relevant ledgers.

·       Bank Reconciliation: Undertaking bank reconciliation of client and office accounts.

·       Purchase Ledger Management: Adding supplier invoices to the system and conducting weekly supplier BACS runs.

·       Direct Debits: Posting all direct debits.

·       Credit Card Reconciliation: Posting monthly credit card receipts and undertaking reconciliation.

·       Assistance and Support: Providing assistance to non-finance staff and clients with account queries.

·       Additional Duties: Offering any other assistance required by the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the accounts department.

The training you will be getting

  • Apprentices will work towards  a Full AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accountancy.
  • Workshops will be delivered in the Forum, Norwich or online on a weekly basis.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

There may be opportunities to advance to AAT Levels 3 and 4.
