What you will do in your working day

The successful candidate will join the administration team at Somerford Equipment Ltd, supporting a busy manufacturing and engineering workshop in Elworth, Sandbach.

This is an ideal and varied role for someone looking to forge a career in business and administration within a well-established firm, which is part of a worldwide group of companies with real career progression and development opportunities.

The role will cover:

  • Reception, telephone and customer support
  • Purchase administration and control of goods-in records
  • Stock movement analysis
  • Labour allocation and job costings
  • Support duties to administration, stores, workshop, and servicing departments
  • Sales administration and order processing
  • General administration

The training you will be getting

  • The candidate will follow a Level 3 programme and study towards a full standard as a Business Administrator
  • This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College - South & West. If you do not already hold GCSEs at grade A-C / 8-4 in English and Maths you will complete Functional Skills in the related subjects to attain Level 2 Functional Skills
  • Somerford Equipment Ltd will provide in-house training to support the chosen candidate to broaden their knowledge of the organisation and its specific needs

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
