What you will do in your working day

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a point of contact for the Trust, via email, over the phone or in person
  • Welcoming visitors to the building, organising refreshments and setting up meeting rooms
  • Manage the visitors log – signing them in and out
  • Booking and setting up of meeting rooms for colleagues and arranging meeting schedules
  • Organising filing systems and updating office databases
  • Processing invoices, tracking receipts, inputting expenses and other basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Support with compiling expenses
  • Arranging travel plans and hotel stays for staff members when necessary
  • Ordering new office equipment, such as stationery, paper and printer refills
  • Scheduling office meetings between teams, managers and departments
  • Responding to questions and requests for information
  • Handling incoming telephone calls professionally, directing enquiries appropriately
  • Open all incoming post and distribute accordingly
  • Utilise Microsoft Office suite and ICT systems daily, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Prepare documentation for meetings
  • Assist our teams with administrative tasks, typing of notes, photocopying and filing etc.
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Order stationery and ensure supplies are well stocked
  • Work & Support across all our teams with tasks
  • Support the Directors Team from time to time, HR and Finance
  • Working alongside the Project and Communications Manager to assist with projects

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Learning Community Trust will offer ongoing employment after the 2 year fixed contract for the apprenticeship whenever possible. There are lots of areas for growth available within the Trust.
