To provide administrative support to the Admin Team who support the Directors and Surveyors. To help implement office procedures. The work requires a professional approach with both good written and oral communication skills. You will need to demonstrate word processing/typing skills and have a basic understanding of how to use IT.

What you will do in your working day

  • Use Microsoft WORD processing package
  • Audio and copy type
  • Deal proficiently and professionally with telephone and email
    enquiries, using an email system(e.g. Outlook)
  • Photocopy, scan and print various documents, sometimes on
    behalf of other colleagues
  • File and store paperwork, documents and computer-based
  • Create and maintain filing and other office systems
  • Book meetings and/or conferences on behalf of colleagues
  • Liaise with staff and with external contacts
  • Organise travel and accommodation for staff

You may also be required to carry out the following duties:

  • Use a variety of software packages (including Excel, Access
    and PowerPoint) to manage data and produce documents,
    reports and presentations
  • Use content management systems (CMS) to update internal
  • Sort and distribute incoming emails and post as well as organise and send outgoing post

The training you will be getting

You will receive support from an assessor to help you prepare for
your End Point Assessment covering:

  • Knowledge
  • Skills
  • Behaviour

As required to meet L3 Business Administrator apprenticeship

You will attend online masterclasses every other week for 1 day.

Maths & English Level 2 (if required).

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

A full-time administrator role with additional responsibilities once experience and qualifications have been gained.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting the Company Health & Safety Officer
  • Organising Training of Surveying Staff
  • Assisting the Accounts department
