What you will do in your working day

The role will require you to provide administrative support to the HR and Payroll team to achieve the LGA’s priorities and objectives.You will support the team in delivering in a flexible and resourceful approach with enthusiasm to participate in LGA and Payroll related projects to deliver on the Business Plan.

As you develop within this apprenticeship, you will understand how to process payroll changes, liasing with line managers and making relevant changes in employee records. You will be able to carry out basic financial administration tasks including raising and managing orders and invoices and handling financial related queries. You will also assist with the monthly processing of the payroll for LGA and its associated organisations.

A 100% tailored training and assessment program will be delivered to support you throughout your Apprenticeship, (21 months including endpoint assessment) topics covered include:

  • Producing Quality and Accurate Information and Reports
  • You may need to complete level 2 Maths and English Functional skills (if you cannot evidence prior grades)

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Apprenticeship provides a Payroll Support Level 3 qualification after 12 months
  • Possibility of employment at a higher salary following apprenticeship completion
