What you will do in your working day

  • Basic Sage bookkeeping, maintaining spreadsheets, and processing the business expenses.
  • Checking VAT returns and payroll processing.
  • General financial admin duties.
  • Updating the internal CRM system / Database.
  • Support in creating presentations and compiling spreadsheets.
  • Scanning and filing documents.
  • Diary management.

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards your Level 2 AAT qualification (an industry recognised Qualification) which are studied on a modular basis. This means that you will study one module of the curriculum at a time, so the qualification is broken down and easier to manage than an A-Level or degree. After each module, you will sit an exam (online) to ensure you have understood. Your study of each module will be self-led and online (no college). We will provide you with an extensive portfolio of tools and resources to support your learning. Units that you will be studying include introduction to bookkeeping, ethical standards, general business, communication, bookkeeping controls, personal effectiveness, accounting systems & processes, synoptic assessment, principles of costing, and behaviours.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

You could progress into ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Finance Assistant (with an increase in salary!) or consider other options, just take a look;
