What you will do in your working day

Initial day to day tasks will include:

  • Checking purchase orders against supplier order confirmation – ensure the items and prices match
  • Create new import quotes, from which a booking in sheet will be formed
  • Create, check and update purchase orders
  • Communicate with suppliers by email and phone (imports & lead times); Forwarders by email and phone (shipping queries/confirmation); Internal mainly updating between sales & accounts

The training you will be getting

You will work towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship and attend National Business College for day release one day per fortnight.

Functional skills in English (if required).

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The successful candidate will then progress to Admin level 3 or Customer Service Specialist level 3.
