    This is the starting salary for AAT Level 2, you receive an increase when you move to L3 and L4 and will also be working towards a scorecard that gives you the opportunity to increase your salary inline with your technical progression.

What you will do in your working day

What You Will Mainly Be Responsible For:

In this role, you will be involved in a variety of duties to help support the finance function of our clients. The work means you will gain a much broader deeper understanding of how to support modern businesses. As you progress through your studies, the aim would be to work with clients directly and build your own portfolio of clients.

Typical Daily Activities Include:

  • Weekly bookkeeping for clients
  • Raising sales invoices for clients
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment tax returns 
  • Submission of Annual Confirmation Statements 

The training you will be getting

You will have 20% of your working week dedicated to your studies, 10% of which will be spent remotely attending sessions with The Apprentice Academy, who we partner with to provide the AAT training to all our apprentices and the other 10% will provide you time to work on revision for any upcoming exams and to complete any administrative tasks set by the academy or required for your apprenticeship.

  • At the end of the course you will receive the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting or the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting depending on if you start on level 2 or 3
  • You will then have the opportunity to move onto AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting
  • We then fully fund study support for anyone wanting to progress onto ACCA or ACA following AAT Level 4

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

You will complete the AAT through to Level 4 and following that you will have the option to move on to ACCA or ACA, it will be self study but will be fully funded.

MAP is a platinum-approved employer with ACCA and an approved employer with ICAEW.

Things to consider

As we are recruiting for our remote team, your role would be mainly spent working from home. However, we would require you to travel to Hastings on an ad-hoc basis for in-person training with the remote team manager.
