Summary
Derby based accountancy firm, Sibbalds, are recruiting an Accounts Apprentice! You will have a range of accounts duties including accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, Tax and support with the preparation of financial statements. As the candidate progresses, more complex and interesting assignments will be given to broaden their horizons.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard includes 6 AAT exams, in addition to the Synoptic Assessment as part of the End-Point Assessment (EPA) process.
The knowledge units will be delivered at the EMA training hub in Derby or Nottingham (depending on apprentices’ location) through day release
AAT Modules are as follows:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping (Level 2 Unit)
- Principles of Bookkeeping (Level 2 Unit)
- Management Accounting Techniques
Financial Accounting:
- Preparing Financial Statements
- Business Awareness
- Tax Processes for Business
Level 3 AAT qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

GCSE or equivalent in:
- 5 GCSE's including Maths and English (grade 6)
