What you will do in your working day

This is an interactive apprentice, you will be wokring across all departments and will have direct involvement in multiple disciplines and departments. 

Tasks to include:

  • Inspections.
  • Quality control.
  • Visual quality.
  • Assembly (fitting).
  • CAD.
  • Dealing with goods inwards and outwards.
  • Processing, purchasing and packaging of stock.
  • Working safely following the H&S requirements.

The training you will be getting

 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship - level 3.

After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)

After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
  • Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

You will be required to attend Somer Valley Campus in Radstock, the first year apprenticeship you will be required to attend three days per week.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

After the successful completion of your apprentices there will be the opportunity of a possible full time role within the business.
