What you will do in your working day

  • Full Management of Phocas reporting system (Supported by Commercial Analyst)
  • Margin Management in line with Phocas KPI
  • Oversee and support all pricing functions within UCUKConduct monthly reviews presenting pricing both increases and decreases from suppliers and communicate into customers, liaising and requesting any approvals from Managing Director
  • Conduct low margin reviews and analyse the data highlighting any areas of concern to the Managing Director
  • Maintain a high level of market pricing intel, documenting all market information using current functions (intranet and filed documentation)
  • Management of pricing reviews ensuring they are carried out accurately
  • Accountable and responsible for maximising sales opportunities and conducting a sales report as and when required
  • Responsible for monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI’s) which are specifically set within your areas of responsibility
  • Offer support to the external sales team when assigned to a specific area (reporting/quotations)
  • Management of customer rebates, liaising with sales teams and Managing Director
  • Monthly customer updates of rebates
  • Manage the photography of products for website
    DATA – Autopart
  • Support the business in all aspects of data analysis and data download
  • Provide an accurate and relevant level of data for all departments within UC using Autopart as the base usage alongside monitoring specific areas to ensure the information is completed accurately. (E.g. Tariff codes, commodity codes, product policy, application, stocking policy)
  • Provide an accurate view of data on low margin products within UC UK line of business
  • Provide data for resourced products into the business
  • Maintain and clean specific areas of the data held on Autopart. E.g. product policy’s (obsolete , specials and supersessions)
    DATA – Phocas
  • Maintenance and cross checking data matched to Autopart via month end reports from both CRM’s
  • Build and production of dashboards
  • Review new benefits of the Phocas software and the proposal of costs with efficiency savings
  • Provide and identify key areas of sales where sales are in decline or increasing for example:
  • 3 m on 3m , Vs previous 3m on 3m
  • Margin variance with projections (forecast)
  • Product group margin declines
  • Access Excel/Database
  • Maintain a high level of user knowledge
  • Support product development within the access data-based process
  • Support commercial team for tasks relating to the analysis you have conducted in excel
  • Inbound call support
  • Provide adequate rota and inbound call cover based on a queue system
  • GENERAL
  • Full understanding of the company employment handbook, vision and values
  • Full understanding of T&C’s when logging into internal system
  • Maintain level of professionalism whilst appreciating the open office environment
  • Maintain 100% competence in standard operating procedures set by the business

The training you will be getting

Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete a Data Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship.
