What you will do in your working day

Your duties will include:

  • To assist and supervise the planning and carrying out of activities.
  • To help set up and clear away equipment.
  • To notice any safeguarding concerns and report them to the Manager.
  • To offer the children the right level of support and a range of creative play activities.
  • To be able to communicate well with parents.
  • Work in a positive, inclusive and caring manner that promotes equal opportunities.
  • Ensuring paperwork is up to date.
  • To attend any staff training or any staff meetings.
  • To attend any mandatory training as required and other training for CPD.
  • Complete and appropriate risk assessments.
  • Any other reasonable tasks requested by the childminder.

The training you will be getting

Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioner. Functional Skills (if required). Training is delivered in the workplace, plus two or three College-based sessions throughout the course. This can be supported by some remote delivery if required.
