What you will do in your working day

Your duties will include:

  • To efficiently and effectively carry out CNC machining, ensuring maximum utilisation of resources and minimum waste.
  • Attend college via day release to achieve the academic qualifications required for the role
  • Complete all tests/assessments needed to achieve the above
  • Assisting within the relevant department you are working in
  • Develop a broad understanding of how the company operates and the requirements of the customers it serves
  • Building professional relationships with colleagues
  • To consistently apply core skills in engineering and machining to produce conforming product in accordance with batch cards.

The training you will be getting

EAL L3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge). Apprentices will attend college for two days per week over two years. This may be revised in Year 2. Training, assessments and observations will also be completed in the workplace.
