What you will do in your working day
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the dentist in surgery
- Communicating with patients
- Showing empathy and being supportive to patients
- Answering telephone calls and booking in appointments
- Setting up and cleaning of surgeries
- Sterilising instruments
- Taking payments and completing general admin tasks
- Everyday cleaning of the practice
The training you will be getting
- Upon completion, the apprentice will receive a Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship along with a level 3 Dental Nurse Diploma
- The apprentice will attend a day release during term time, held at St Helens College Town Centre Campus
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- To become a fully qualified dental nurse
- The successful applicant can progress onto post qualifications such as: radiography, impression taking, sedation and implant nursing
