What you will do in your working day

· Carry out inspection of fabric and materials for defects and colour checking

· Transport fabric rolls of fabric

· Operate machinery for fabric defect identification

· Inspect and cut fabric as per production schedule

· Flag any major defects to the relevant personnel

· Cut fabric to specification, utilising relevant machines and tables

· Undertake regular machine maintenance

· Pick and pack Drape Kit Packs

· Issue product to KIT of the works orders

The above duties, albeit being quite specific, are not all exhaustive and there may be times when other requirements are expected as well as reasonable Management requests.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

This role is suited to an individual that wishes to learn a new skill in a small team and follow a career in material cutting and fabric work. Progression over time and experience could include shift supervisor or manager roles.
