What you will do in your working day

Our client is recruiting an apprentice to help with their continued growth as an Insulation products manufacturer, selling into the construction sector. This role will include both reactive and proactive selling and administration dealing with both existing, and prospecting for new clients. The role is responsible for being the key point of contact between the business and existing/prospective clients, answering all queries, offering advice, and introducing new ideas on how to build the sales streams and improve customer service levels. All internal sales administration work will be undertaken in support of the sales manager to exceed targets and budgets. One of the key areas of focus is discovering and pursuing new sales prospects and proactively following up on project enquiries using the CRM system as well as planning, designing and implementing direct marketing campaigns.

·       Answering & dealing with inbound phone calls from existing and prospective customers

·       Making outbound calls to follow up on project quotations and cold calling prospective customers.

·       Pricing Customer Enquiries received via phone and email.

·       Continually improve your own product knowledge through researching.

·       Seek out new product and service opportunities.

·       Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media

·       Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

·       Continually internally communicate important feedback from customers

·       Ensure customer complaints are dealt with in a swift manner to the customer’s satisfaction and with minimal cost to the business – escalating the issue where necessary, and keeping a record.

·       Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services to internal and external customers.

·       Carry out market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.

·       Lead co-ordinator for social media, content, marketing, and internet sales.

·       Attend training events, conferences, and trade exhibitions as and when requested.

·       Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.

·       Support and facilitate Production Planning through reporting of sales pipeline.

·       Work closely with the production planning team to ensure new opportunities can be taken, produced, and delivered exceeding customer expectation.

·       Handle customer queries in an effective and efficient manner.

·       Assist with the completion of administration duties.
